One of the most wonderful children's books I have seen... There are dozens if not hundreds in my house at the moment and this one stands alone. You'll see!Great for all ages, but my 10 year old and one year old granddaughters are going to love it. I am a big fan of this author. I went to one of his readings. He is very personable and the children loved him.As for the book, the illustrations are wonderful and like "All the Way to the Ocean" this book sends a powerful message regarding our environment. One of the things that I really like about this book is that the child does not have to know how to read. It is a book of illustration.The great thing about this is that it encourages the child to use their imagination in that they create the dialogue. This makes the book a personal and different experience for each child. They say that 10 people can look at the same picture and each will see something different. That is what this book does.

Joel Harper's new book is a refreshingly creative take on traditional storytelling. Providing 'just' visual prompts the book allows 'readers' to create the story as they flip the pages, the reader becomes an engaged maker of the story. Guided by stunningly beautiful illustrations, the story unfolds and takes shape through the imaginative collaboration of the young reader. And even though the plot is embedded in the images, the details can shift each time the story is engaged. The third book in this series is every bit as entertaining as the others (with one exception, explained below). I am fascinated with the character, Bodhi King. The new characters for this book were all interesting and I wanted to know everything about them. Descriptions of the surroundings were vivid and crisp, it was easy to visualise the story as I was reading it.The book moved along at a decent pace with enough twists and turns to keep the reader engrossed and turning the pages. The sub-plots were written just as well as the main plot and everything was neatly wrapped up at the end. The last chapter was a nice touch. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and will be looking forward to reading more of this series.Author, Melissa F. Miller writes several other series you should read while waiting for the next Bodhi King Novel: Sasha McCandless Legal Thrillers, Aroostine Higgins Novels and We Sisters Three Mysteries.The one exception: There were a few mistakes in this book. The worst one was "IN the meantime, Chief Clark formally interviewed formal interview about the night the Russian tried to kill her." WHAT?

The Bodhi King novels are great for a lot of reasons. Bodhi is a well-developed character. He is unique both in how he solves crimes and in how he does it while sticking to his beliefs. And he finds ways to beat his enemies while staying calm and composed.Hidden Party has all the great characteristics of the first two books in this series. But it isn't just a replay of the other books. Melissa Miller spins a great tale by using unique settings and problems Bodhi needs to work in. Once I started reading this book, I couldn't put it down until it was finished. I would recommend reading it.

What more can I say about the Bodhi King series in particular and Melissa’s writing in general!Bodhi travels to a Buddhist monastery in a small Illinois town to take part in a week-long retreat. But he is sidetracked by two murders involving the monastery and his plans for a peaceful retreat go awry. As always Bohdi gets involved in solving these murders thus revealing his deep faith and compassion!Read the whole book—it will be well worth the time!

This is the second book in the bodhi king series. The introduction to bodhi occurred in the Sasha McAndless series and I’ve enjoyed them all. Well developed characters and intriguing plots could mbine for thoroughly satisfying reading.

I believe I have read every book that Melissa has published and enjoy them all. I did not find this one as great as some of the previous ones, but it was great and I continue to look forward to her future publications. I am a fan....

Can't wait for the next one I this series. I love Bodhi. I enjoyed the story line and interwoven plots with the Buddhist beliefs that Bodhi follows. I love all of Melissa F Miller's characters. Highly recommended series. Recommended author.

Bohdi King is just as interesting in this book as in the previous 2. Interesting premise (the whole GMO thing) including the spying characters. This is 3rd and have enjoyed all of them so far. At least Bohdi is not TSTL in his actions most of the time.

The story involves murder and corporate espionage. Bohdi King is caught up in the circumstances surrounding the mysteries. He had come to a retreat to rethink his position on living solely for his work. That also figures into the story. The suspense builds to an exciting crisis and has an abrupt but satisfying ending.
