Her words have always been encouraging and I was so excited to get my hands on this book. I finally just finished it, and it brought me to tears and met me right where I was at. I’ve previously loved Mandy’s positivity, but I think this book was best of all because she was real and raw. This book is honest. I loved every page of it because it was so relatable and beautifully written. I didn’t realize how much I needed this message. My similar struggles with love, heartbreak, anxiety and so much more have made me believe I wasn’t enough. In this book, Mandy helped me reframe those thoughts and realize that I am enough. I won’t pretend like the book has waved a magic wand and changed my whole life, but it’s given me a much needed change in perspective, and I’m excited to see what the future holds. Thank you Mandy for writing this book and for keeping it real!

This isn’t a bad thing - she is a talented storyteller - and she continues to share her experiences with an openness and honesty that has endured her to her readers like an old friend. The author’s connection with her readers provides a platform on which great things can be built. Things that we don’t often discuss freely in society - wrestling with a sense of lack, questioning our faith, struggling in the pursuit of mental wellness - are discussed. The last chapter lost some of that power because the timeline didn’t ring true (for example, her kayaking trip was about a month before she lost her friend, so how were they there mourning her loss and feeling her spirit in the breeze?... very distasteful writing). However, as I continued reading I realized the timeline was manipulated for a “bookend†story arc about tattoos, which left me as a reader feeling manipulated and wondering if I could trust the honesty of other parts of her story. The book seems part memoir, part spiritual encouragement, part mental health advocacy... sort of a “hero’s journey†in which she goes through hard things and comes out with a treasure to bring back to her readers. It’s a reminder that the power of our story lies in our struggle, and we can help one another along by sharing it.
I’ve been waiting for this book an entire year ! Since Mandy announced it on social media I have been so excited about it’s launch date !!! Which is TODAY ! I’m on chapter four already (thanks to the car pick up line at my daughter’s school). Once again she did not disappoint ! Everyone needs to read this book Bc at some point and time everyone has had loss or felt like they weren’t ENOUGH. It’s raw and gets down into the parts of life some might try to hide ... it’s about REAL LIFE stuff. It already has me in my feelings and I LOVE that. Mandy, thank you so much for beautiful book.
Mandy’s writing makes you feel like you are in her shoes. Going through her grief, her depression, her happiness, her highs, her lows, and most importantly like you want to hug your best friend and say ‘You are ENOUGH’. That best friend could be you. I have been through those dark times and wished I had this book then. But through the strength of God and believing he was by my side, I pulled through. If you need a book to make you not feel alone, purchase Mandy’s as she is with you all the way. Not having self worth is real, depression is real. Mandy is the real deal and doesn’t sugar coat it. It’s hard to write to your audience (book readers/fans) the real truth about your life...it’s raw and scary but Mandy put it all out there and will help countless people (mostly women) know and feel they are ENOUGH. Bravo Mandy...and thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping a sister not feel alone!
Ladies if you are like me and have doubts of being ENOUGH, then this book is a must read! Mandy shares her life experiences with us and I found myself thinking "this is me", "I have been there", "I totally am feeling like that" throughout the whole book. She shares in a way that we can connect and relate to her. I have always felt like I'm not enough throughout life and this book reminds me of God's love, timing, and grace & that I am in fact always ENOUGH! It is also a quick read, so whenever I am feeling doubts again I will for sure reread it!! Get it and read it ladies!! It has helped me! :)
Mandy chronicles two years of heartbreak and loss that she experienced. The book is an easy read. I finished it in less than 24 hours. Although she dispenses some helpful advice, this book reads more like a memoir of those 2 years than an actual self-help book. I went in thinking it was a self-help book, but it feels very much lacking in that area (especially if you're looking for Christian guidance). But, as a memoir, I appreciated her honesty and transparency in her trials and her triumphs.I've read all of her books and it's been interesting to see her journey - her ups and downs the past decade - and seeing how much she has grown through all of her experiences.
I can not begin to express the deep intense emotions that I have felt during the reading of this book. It can be so crazy and overwhelming to have the emotions that are associated with depression and anxiety. I thought I was alone. I often think to myself, “how do others do it, life?†But to sit and read this was as amazing as having the ability to take a single breath. Thank you for putting yourself out there for others. For letting others know, they aren’t alone. For letting me know, I am enough <3
