Excellent photos and directions.

I bought this book as a recommendation for Christmas gifts. The recipes were easy to follow and so fun to make. The gifts were such a success this past year that I'm planning on using the book again this Christmas.

I have always been intimidated with any DIY beauty-type projects. I'm not super crafty and it all seemed very chemistry-like to me (I wasn't good at chemistry either). Home Apothecary has a couple of great things going for it:1. It includes very approachable projects that are simple and pretty quick to make.2. It walks you though every step of the process, right down to adorable packaging ideas.I recently made the calendula lotion bars and they came out so great. I had mentally prepared myself for a Pinterest-style fail, but they look amazing (see picture). Better yet, I gained a lot of confidence that I can actually make these things.The book itself would be an excellent gift, but I think I'll keep it for myself and make lots of other gifts from it. The nice thing is that the recipes seem to make enough to give some away and keep some for myself.I don't have kids, but I would imagine that these would be great projects to do with children too. So glad I took the plunge and gave one of these recipes a try.

I just got the Home Apothecary book in my mailbox and I AM LOVING the full color photos.Stephanie Rose hit it outta the park with this one because this book is super smart --- it shows you exactly how to make bath bombs, salts, scrubs, foot soaks, massage bars, perfume, and lip balm with illustrative photos that I adore. I am in Government Contracting and this book is very informative and can be used as a very good tool.Also in reference to the review talking about spelling errors, I'm not sure how old your dictionary is but "definitized" and "estopped" are words. Check Merriam-Webster, Online m-w.com.

This book was written for quick reference only. I was not impressed. It was written well, but boring. I did learn from, but I wish I would have tried something different.

The book is certainly packed with a lot of valuable information, and I suggest purchasing it if you plan on writing any government proposals, or managing government contracts. Just be prepared to filter through a lot of bad editing, spelling errors, sentences that make no sense, incorrect wording that render the sentence incorrect, and, at certain times, words that do not exist. For example, the word "definitized" appears many times; and I don't think the government has ever "estopped" invoking ceiling price limitations.It just seems unbelievable that a book in its fourth edition could be so riddled with obvious errors - especially in this day and age when spell checks and grammar checks are built in to even the most basic of writing and publishing tools.All in all, you'll obtain some new knowledge, just be prepared to spend some time reading, and re-reading certain sentences and paragraphs to make sense out of them.

This is a wonderful book of poetry. The book contains four collections with collections II and III being the best. Number II contains what Smith calls erasure poems, which I had never read before. These were very affecting as she crafted poetry out of the Declaration of Independence and correspondence between a southern family regarding the sale of slaves. The most profound poem in the book is "I Will Tell You the Truth About This, I Will Tell You All About It." Using words written by African Americans during the Civil War, Smith has written something unforgettably poetic. Number IV is the least cohesive collection but many of her poems in it ("Beatific", "4 1/2") are excellent. "Urban Youth" - "In the '70s, everything shone bright as brass" - I especially loved.I think that many folks greatly under-appreciate poetry in today's world. In this book Tracy K. Smith shows why she is poet laureate of the United States. Highly recommended.

A few weeks ago, I had the amazing privilege of attending an event where Tracy K. Smith came to read her poetry. I had never heard her poetry before, but by the end of the event I was deeply moved, and immediately ordered this book. Smith does captures so well the frustration, heartache, and also hope that is the struggle for equality in America, and her poems helped me to better see where progress has been made as well as where equality is still lacking. Through her words, I was better able to see the racial injustice which persists within the mindset of American society, and I felt more motivated to work to change that mentality. Smith’s poems about environmental responsibility are so poignant as well; the poem in which she compares the Earth to the collective younger sister of humanity hit me hard. It made me think about how vulnerable our world is, and how I would feel if my own little sister were taken advantage of and hurt by others.Overall, I highly recommend this collection of poetry for anyone looking to read writing that is both beautiful and refreshing. Smith is such a talented poet, and while hearing her perform live is of course the best option, her voice still comes through strong in her written poetry. Before reading this collection, I wasn’t really interested in reading new poetry, but this book alone has made me change my mind. Tracy K. Smith is a living testament to the fact that great poetry is not just a thing of the past, but that it has an important place in modern literature as well.

Not all the original core BattleMechs like the Warhammer, Marauder, Archer, Crusader and others taken from various 80s Japanese anime like Macross, make any visual appearance at all. Most of the original art from the 80s to the early 90s had these 'Mechs appear in some fashion, and this artwork is absent from this book. The book was originally meant to include some of this artwork, and there is evidence in the formatting that they were hastily deleted at the last minute and replaced with more copyright-friendly, but inferior substitutes. There are also some textual errors that were missed by the editor, par for the course for a BattleTech product.Overall, if you can get this book for a discount, it is well worth it if you're a die-hard BattleTech fan. This book will tug on those strings of nostalgia for anyone who got sucked in to the BattleTech universe playing the original tabletop game, reading the novels, or playing the MechWarrior video games.

I like this art book a lot. Being a fan of Battletech since many years and having read most of the printed novels, I enjoyed very much flipping through the pages and seeing those very nice illustrations. In addition, the book holds additional information, both technical and historical, that I enjoyed to read.

Excellent, full of Battletech "history" and "Lore" binding is great, coffee book sized, an excellent product!

This is a must for the BT fan. IT is full of great photos and stories. This is a center piece to my family room. I love just flipping thorugh it. If you want to show off your fanship this is a great way to do it.

A good book for those who have lived and breathed the Battletech universe for these odd 30 years. Contains artwork from the span as well as short stories from the writers who have given the universe life. Nice features such as the historical timeline as well as a full bibliography for the novels and gave form to the universe.

Very fine overview of the battletech universe, its history and its many incarnations. Beautiful collection of artwork and fiction. Must have for both the veteran and the beginning battletech fan.

Disappointed with the quality of the paper for what is supposed to be a hallmark compilation of Battletech art. Cheap lightweight sheets. The collected set isn't to my taste either, featuring much of this artist who did the Total War, Combat Operations, etc covers. Can't remember his name, but he overuses flare visuals, lasers, and garish colors. His mechs look cartoony too, and are often in bombastic 'action' poses. Waste of money.

Finally! This is a book that is alphabetized so that I can find my passwords quickly instead of scrolling through pages and pages of notes. Also purchased one for ladies in my office and they love it. Yay great find!

In this world of password-protected everything, these have helped me tremendously. I keep one at work and one at home. I am still cautious about writing down every letter or digit, but give myself enough clues to prompt my memory. At home, I also include serial numbers, account numbers, and phone numbers as appropriate. It's helpful when I need repairs.

Genius!!! Passwords are just out of control. You need a password for everything. And they have to be changed often and some have specific requirements, specific lengths, can't spell actual words, can't reuse them. It's just become overwhelming.
