This book is quite short, probably self edited and took about 20 minutes to read. Much of the book is pure fluff, with information repeated in various sections. The book never went through any serious editing process and English was not the author’s first language. There are about 5-10 pages of relevant information- the rest is all filled with information that could be found in a 10 min google search on ham radio frequencies. It literally reads like a long middle-school report on ham radio digital modes wherein the student repeats the same ideas over and over again just to fill pages. The 100 + pages are deceptive, since the pages are quite small and the font quite large. Don’t let the nice looking cover fool you- this book is not worth anywhere near the price. After reading this book, I’m 100% certain that the glowing reviews on book recieved are totally dubious. You’ve been warned. If you’re serious about this subject and want a nice primer on digital modes- this is NOT your book.
I am interested in this topic and I bought this book to learn more about HF Digital. From this guide, I got the information about about what HF digital technology is, why use digital models on HF or amateur bands, how to set up and operate my HF Digital Station, what I need to set up a Digital HF Station and much more useful information. This book is very informative and useful. It is well written and easy to understand. I got much new information on all my question on this topic. I liked this guide and I 'm glad to have it on my Kindle. I would recommend this book for those who need such type of information.
No doubt the author knows how to set up and operate digital modes. Unfortunately, he is not quite literate in English. Kind of like many of his friends he got to review is. Something of a chore to read with incorrect word usage cropping up every few lines. But there are better ways to get up to speed on digital modes than this self-published print on demand.
This book is a great book on HF Digital that is well written and easy to understand by the author. I found this to be an excellent way to star complete Quickstart Guide for Setting up Your First HF Station. Recommended.

I really enjoyed the simplistic approach to writing this book in and organized and understandable manner. It gave me a better overview and knowledge about what is really out there.
